The Royal Wedding Dance

Hullo ma wee blog,

I'm not a Royalist and constant news and media items about next weeks wedding is doing my head in. Even so - this T-Mobile advert brought a smile.

See you later

I feel really sorry for all you poor bastards in the UK celebrating the union of another couple of parasites. NZ is almost wedding free, but just to be safe I've made the precautionary move of ensuring I'm going to be 35,000 feet above the Tasman Straits when the blessed event takes place.

In your place I would recommend lots and lots of whisky.

Funny film though.

Oh I'm with you Alistair, the damn Royal Wedding is really doing my head in too. I love TSB's comment above too - and it's so true. The Royals make me so angry, & I'm enraged that the British people get to pay for their weddings, and later pay for their divorces! There aren't many things that make me rant, but this is one of them. I did, however, also see this video during the week & found it quite hilarious. I guess if the wedding allows (non-royal) companies/individuals to benefit in some way, then that might be a small silver lining!

So funny! I like the pageantry and the history of the monarchy. But I could never become a citizen; I'm too much of a republican. Guess it's good that I live in the States.

A friend sent this to me the other day, too. It made me smile. I will be watching a bit of the wedding from Canada, but I won't be staying up all night like the die-hard fans! I suppose people want to be distracted from the gloomy news and weather with a little pomp and glamour from time to time, eh?
Cheers!
