The Sunday Posts 2012/Short Song

Once, when I was young and true,
Someone left me sad-
Broke my brittle heart in two;
And that is very bad.

Love is for unlucky folk,
Love is but a curse.
Once there was a heart I broke;
And that, I think, is worse.

Oh my word - where in the Bonny Land did you take that shot?!

...and we ought certainly to avoid being the breakers - even if that means becoming the breakee.

Hullo Yamini,

I hate to 'break' it to you but it's actually a photo of France. The view from Rennes le Chateau, Aude. One of my favourite places.

Hope you're not all broken up about it!

{But I agree with what you say here.}

Cheers!

I tend to think of Dorothy Parker as sarcastic. I like this one. Thanks.

Ah dbs - maybe that would be because she's a female?

Glad you liked it sir.

Cheers.

I do love Dorothy Parker...and this is a prime example of her 'Death and Taxes' wit. Thanks so much for sharing her today. You know, I feel exactly the same way about my past relationships. I might have to steal and share this one.

See, Dotty P isn't someone I know an awful lot about. I know what I like tho and like what I know of her stuff.

I should do some more research.

Thanks all.
