The Sunday Posts 2013/ Dreams

Bring me all of your dreams,
You dreamer,
Bring me all your
Heart melodies
That I may wrap them
In a blue cloud-cloth
Away from the too-rough fingers
Of the world.

Langston Hughes.

Hey Alistair! This is a great choice for today. "Away from the too-rough fingers of the world" is a wonderful image. Indigo

This makes me think about being a father. I waffle between wanting to temper my teens' sometimes silly idealism and joining them. They have so much to learn, and with so many joys in life also so many sorrows too.

Thanks folks,

This week seems to have conspired against me having time to comment back here - at least that's what I'm telling myself!

Yamini - thank you. I actually chose this picture because of the 'suspended' world before realising the colour fitted too. I hope you have a good week too.

MM - Then I'm glad to give you the opportunity via these pages. I have more of LH planned in the near future.

Indigo - It is a great allusion isn't it. The world can be overly hard on dreams in my experience.

Eolist Petite - Why not eh? why not....

Rebecca - Why thank you ma'am!. You're a soppy wee thing sometimes arean't you? But don't worry. Your secret is safe with me. {probably}

dbs - I think silly idealism is a good thing. Unless it's idealism about silly things. I think we adults accept the bad to readily and see the good through shades of grey too much. It can all seem like hard work. I'm alwayys glad of the energy and enthusiasm young people bring to things and I'm not sure that a simple approach isn't worth trying for a change.

Thanks everyone. Have a great week. I've actually been writing a bit this week and have some 'real' posting almost completed. Just for a change!
